Build secure Linux infrastructure and OpenShift environments onsite in Ottawa for IBM Consulting’s air-gapped client platforms. Automate provisioning, testing, and delivery. As a Secure System Platform Engineer, you will build and operate development, test, and acceptance environments. The work spans infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, security scanning, observability, and self-hosted platform services. You will support an OpenShift target architecture while maintaining native Windows acceptance testing. IBM Consulting supports hybrid cloud and AI journeys using IBM technology and Red Hat.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build development, test, and acceptance environments from code
- Operate DMZ transfers, registries, mirrors, and dependency flows
- Package and release products for client delivery
- Run CI/CD pipelines with security scanning and controlled promotion
- Provision networks, identity, secrets, certificates, and vulnerability management
Requirements:
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux using Bash and Python
- Build infrastructure as code with Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
- Operate Kubernetes or OpenShift deployments, networking, storage, and access
- Build monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Hold or qualify for required Canadian security clearances
- Apply platform engineering, automation, security, and OpenShift expertise to IBM Consulting’s controlled Ottawa environments onsite.
