About the Job: The Registered Nurse will:
- Provide nursing care to emergency patients independently and as part of a team
- Enhance quality of life for patients and families, collaborating with healthcare providers
- Engage in continuous improvement and evidence-based practice
- Maintain and develop clinical competence
- Participate in hospital committees, teams, and research projects
This is a permanent full-time position with rotating day and night shifts from 07:30 to 19:30 and 19:30 to 07:30.
Location/Unit Details: Kelowna General Hospital features a newly expanded emergency department with state-of-the-art facilities, including multiple zones for acute, urgent, and minor treatments, trauma rooms, a helipad, and specialized rooms for bariatric and isolation needs. The hospital is also home to a clinical academic campus for the University of BC Medical School.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing and current registration with BCCNM
- Advanced training in ED or equivalent experience
- CPR and BCLS certification within the past 3 years
