Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging Department at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, in Trail, BC. About The Job
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization and in accordance with the standards of professional practice, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other health care professionals. Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBH) performs a wide variety of exams including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, small parts, echo, and some interventional work (drainages and biopsies). We perform exams in outpatient and inpatient care (including ER and ICU). KBH’s Medical Imaging Department operates 7 days per week with rotating shift times. It consists of three scanning rooms (two general, vascular and small parts; one echo). The department averages 6,500 exams per year and 1,700 echo exams per year.
This is a Relief Part Time (0.65) opportunity until the return of the incumbent. Shifts of work will be scheduled rotating day and evenings.
