At Intelerad, we believe the path to answers in healthcare should be clear—whether you are waiting for a diagnosis or trying to expedite one. Our medical imaging solutions streamline the flow of information, simplifying complex processes, maximizing efficiencies, and shining a light on the unknown. We empower physicians to get patients the answers they need faster and improve outcomes for everyone.
As a UI/UX Researcher & Designer at Intelerad, you will play a meaningful role in shaping how clinicians and healthcare professionals interact with our medical imaging products. You will independently own research and design for one or more product areas, partnering with product managers, developers, and end users to turn complex clinical needs and business goals into intuitive, high-quality experiences, from early discovery through to successful release.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently plan and lead qualitative and quantitative UX research across the product lifecycle, using field studies, direct observation, interviews, workflow and task analysis, usability testing, and surveys to identify opportunities, validate assumptions, and shape product direction.
- Set research priorities and methodologies for your product area in partnership with product management; recruit participants and moderate sessions with clinicians and other end users.
- Synthesize research data into personas, journey maps, and actionable insights, and translate findings into design and product recommendations that influence roadmap decisions.
- Own and evolve our research repository so findings stay discoverable and continue to inform current and future work.
- Lead the design of intuitive interfaces from concept to release, grounded in a strong understanding of user goals, clinical workflows, and product requirements.
- Produce wireframes, storyboards, functional prototypes, and detailed specifications that clearly communicate intent to developers, QA, and technical writers.
- Drive the creation and adoption of design standards that ensure consistency across the product suite.
- Build trust with users through deep empathy, active listening, and strong facilitation.
- Present design and research findings clearly to audiences ranging from engineers to product leadership.
- Mentor and provide feedback to less experienced designers and researchers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX) Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors / Ergonomics, Psychology, Graphic Design, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in UI/UX design and UX research, with a portfolio demonstrating both strong web and mobile design capabilities and end-to-end research work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including Figma and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and producing design specifications.
- Strong knowledge of HCI principles and design best practices.
- Excellent spoken and written English, or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Requirements
- Experience prototyping with HTML and CSS or similar front-end tools.
- Experience in healthcare IT or complex enterprise software.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Experience mentoring or informally guiding other designers or researchers.
