IPS seeks Wind Field Service Technicians for wind turbine, factory generator, and motor repair and testing. The work includes bearing replacement, slip ring maintenance, winding repair, machining, electrical lead cable replacement, and diagnostic tasks. Training is available, while mechanical experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform wind generator bearing and slip ring maintenance
- Complete up tower winding repairs and machining
- Disassemble and install motors and generators onsite
- Document turbine performance, issues, tasks, and service data
- Follow troubleshooting processes and safety standards
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel extensively, including weekends and overtime
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Mechanical background in industrial, electrical, or related fields
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry fifty pounds
- Comfort working outdoors in challenging weather conditions
