As an Application Modernization Specialist, you will assess and modernize a legacy application built with Java 8, Angular, AngularJS, REST APIs, and Db2. The work centers on identifying performance issues, technical debt, and upgrade or refactoring opportunities. You will apply Spring, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, SQL, and profiling techniques. Key Responsibilities:
Assess legacy application architecture and technical debt Modernize Java 8 applications to newer Java versions Refactor monolithic applications and extract services Support AngularJS-to-Angular application migrations Develop modernization recommendations for application improvements Requirements:
Eight or more years of Java development experience Strong Angular and AngularJS migration experience Spring, REST API, JPA/Hibernate, and SQL expertise Java profiling, tracing, SQL analysis, and load testing experience Db2 or similar relational database experience Apply Java modernization, Angular migration, and performance analysis expertise to improve a legacy higher education application.
