Job Description
- The Designer will provide drafting and detailing support for structural design of the BWRX-300 Reactor Building from preliminary phase through construction documents.
- Preparation of 3D Revit structural models and 2D drawings and details of structural building systems.
- Create definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies in the form of 3D models, 2D cross sections, section details, tolerance stack-ups, and various electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a structural discipline, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of structural drafting and design best practices, including interfaces with mechanical piping, HVAC and electrical.
- Design activity will require knowledge of design principles and drafting procedure.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3 years of experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries.
- OR at least 5 years of relevant work experience in structural drafting for heavy industrial, thermal power, nuclear industry or similar industries.
- Minimum 3 years of experience using Revit for structural modeling.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Nuclear experience.
- Work within a team environment to execute work plans and schedules as applicable for mission success.
- Perform work in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Competency in computer programs and software such as Microsoft products and Microsoft teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Revit family creation.
- Autodesk Inventor experience a plus.
- Experience using Autodesk BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience using Autodesk Vault.
