Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer to support an industrial manufacturing environment in Arnprior, ON. This individual will provide hands‑on electrical and controls support for plant operations, troubleshoot production and equipment issues, and work closely with operations, maintenance, electricians, and engineering teams. The role will support equipment and systems including PLCs/control systems, VFDs, instrumentation, motors, pumps, and electrical circuits.
Skills and Requirements
- 3+ years of Electrical/Controls Engineering experience
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs/control systems, VFDs, and instrumentation
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with motors, pumps, electrical circuits, and industrial equipment
- Experience troubleshooting equipment failures and production issues in a manufacturing, plant, or industrial environment
- 5–7 years of relevant
- Electrical/Controls Engineering experience
- Experience with installation and commissioning of electrical or controls equipment
- Experience replacing or upgrading obsolete equipment/control systems
- Experience supporting projects from equipment selection/procurement through installation and commissioning
