Mamu Tshishkutamashutau Innu Education seeks a School Counsellor for its student-centered learning environment. The role supports academic, social-emotional, behavioural, and career development. You will collaborate with teachers, families, administration, and external agencies to strengthen student well-being and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling to students
- Complete assessments and recommend learning supports
- Assist with educational and career planning
- Respond to crises and coordinate referrals
- Support attendance, engagement, and conflict resolution
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Education from a recognized institution
- Master's degree in Counselling Psychology
- Valid Newfoundland and Labrador Teaching Certificate or eligibility
- Experience supporting children and youth
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
