Drive strategic business development from IFB’s Oakville head office, using franchising expertise and commercial leadership in a hybrid work model. As Senior Director of Development, you will oversee franchising, leasing, construction, and documentation for Chopped Leaf and Ecobean. You will shape growth strategies, develop relationships, and pursue opportunities across Canada, the United States, and international markets. The position reports to the Executive Vice President and leads the development team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the business development lifecycle from prospecting through closing
- Develop strategies for sustainable and profitable growth
- Lead leasing strategy, negotiations, evaluations, and broker development
- Oversee restaurant construction budgets, contractors, architects, and vendors
- Coach teams and align franchisees with development requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field
- Eight to ten years’ progressive commercial leadership experience
- Experience closing complex consultative deals with senior stakeholders
- Fast-casual or QSR experience with restaurant locations
- People management, communication, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Bring strategic thinking, franchising knowledge, and relationship-building strength to grow IFB’s brands and commercial performance.
