Support customers at home as a Health Care Assistant in Malahide and Portmarnock, using personal care and communication skills. This is full-time work.
InisCare seeks a Health Care Assistant reporting to the Health Care Supervisor or Branch Manager. You will help customers live safely and happily at home through personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship. The work requires dignity, respect, confidentiality, and reliable communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with bathing, dressing, and incontinence care
- Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping tasks
- Document completed tasks accurately in daily logs
- Report safeguarding concerns and unsafe working practices
- Attend scheduled shifts and required training
Requirements:
- QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent
- Basic patient care skills including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Ability to assist with mobility and exercise
- Effective verbal, written, and active listening communication
- Empathy, compassion, reliability, and confidentiality
