Operate loaders and skid steers at Highland Valley Copper Mine Site near Logan Lake, supporting crushing operations on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule.
This full-time, project-based Loader Operator role supports crushing and aggregate production at Highland Valley Copper. You will feed crushers, manage stockpiles, load trucks, and assist with plant maintenance. The work requires safety awareness, equipment experience, and reliable communication. Experience in aggregate, mining, or heavy civil environments is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feed crushers, manage stockpiles, and load trucks using mobile equipment
- Clean belts, assist screen changes, and maintain plant housekeeping
- Inspect equipment and report defects or maintenance concerns
- Perform lubrication, minor adjustments, and component checks
- Participate in orientations, toolbox meetings, FLHAs, and JHAs
Requirements:
- Experience operating loaders, skid steers, or excavators
- One to three years in aggregate crushing or similar environments
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence required
- Strong communication skills and ability to take direction
- Ability to lift 60–80 pounds above shoulder height
