Recruiter in Halifax

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Recruiter role based in Halifax, NS. The Recruiter is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring decisions for various roles across multiple industries. Daily tasks include partnering with hiring managers to understand role requirements, posting job ads, maintaining candidate pipelines, and ensuring timely communication and updates to all stakeholders. The Recruiter also supports onboarding activities, maintains accurate recruitment records, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives in talent acquisition processes. The role requires strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to delivering a positive, inclusive candidate experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection for diverse roles and industries.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruitment platforms, and basic HR documentation and reporting.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage multiple requisitions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Understanding of recruitment best practices, employment standards, and inclusive hiring principles.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to improving recruitment processes and candidate experience.
• Experience recruiting in logistics, warehousing, consulting, or related sectors is an asset.
