Our Hamilton client is a dynamic and highly driven practice with a focus on residential and commercial real estate, land development, and new home construction. With a strong emphasis on commercial real estate transactions and a well-established team, they are seeking an experienced Residential-Commercial Real Estate Associate to join our firm. The ideal candidate will work closely with a motivated and energetic team of partners and associates, handling high-value and complex real estate matters.

The Role: This position will focus heavily on commercial real estate, including development sales, land development, and new home construction. The associate will play a critical role in assessing and advising on residential and commercial real property transactions, risk factors, and legal complications related to real estate and financing transactions. While the role involves some corporate work, the majority will be commercial real estate focused.

As part of the team, you will work with multiple partners, several associates, and multiple clerks in commercial real estate, plus additional support in corporate and development matters. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high level of energy and drive, as the team operates at a fast pace and is known for seeking solutions and answering complex questions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on residential and commercial real estate transactions, including development sales, land development, and new home construction.
  • Assist in commercial financing transactions, providing legal counsel on risk factors and legal complications.
  • Handle corporate-related real estate work with potential for bonus opportunities based on performance and knowledge.
  • Work closely with the team to manage and execute real property transactions, ensuring smooth closings and legal compliance.
  • Collaborate with partners and other associates on a variety of matters related to commercial real estate and financing.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $120,000 - $140,000, based on experience.
  • Bonus Potential: Up to 25% based on both personal and team performance, calculated on the calendar year.
  • Hybrid Work Model: In-office 3 days per week, offering flexibility in your work schedule.
  • Additional Benefits: Full benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a competitive vacation policy.

Ideal Candidate: We are looking for an associate with 2 to 4 years of experience focused on residential and commercial real estate, with a particular emphasis on land development and new home construction. Experience in commercial financing transactions is a plus but not a requirement. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-energy, driven environment and be ready to take on complex, high-stakes transactions. We need a candidate who can match the partners' energy and will not shy away from a fast-paced, results-oriented team. A willingness to handle some corporate work is also important, with the opportunity for bonuses based on performance in that area.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience focused on residential and commercial real estate, with exposure to land development and new home construction and sales.
  • Experience with commercial real estate financing is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex transactions.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-energy team environment.
  • Willingness to handle some corporate work and take on tasks as appropriate.
