Our client is a well-established B2B Saa S company based in Vancouver, BC, entering an exciting new growth chapter and looking for a Marketing Manager who wants to build and run programs, not just plan them.
This is a rare kind of marketing role.
It comes with real ownership of execution, a dedicated internal team to direct, and a leadership team that has deliberately chosen to keep strategy for itself so this person can focus entirely on getting things done.
If you’re the person your last company called when a trade show needed to be nailed, a brand activation needed to land, or an event needed to actually happen, this is built for you.
- What You’ll Do
- Own event and brand activation delivery end to end: plan, organize, promote, and host trade shows, conferences, in-person and virtual events, and webinars that build brand presence and pipeline.
This is the core of the role and where you’ll spend the majority of your time.
- Lead brand activations that put the company in front of customers and prospects, and represent the brand on-site at industry events (travel as needed).
- Partner with the organization’s broader in-house digital and creative team, who run social, digital, design, and web.
Brief them clearly and keep their output aligned to your event and campaign calendar.
- Translate product strategy and roadmap into marketing-ready input, working closely with product leadership so the wider team always has accurate, timely material to build campaigns around.
- Own the marketing funnel end to end, from awareness through to qualified handoff to sales, including post-event lead follow-up.
- Keep marketing reporting and dashboards current and trustworthy, so leadership always has an accurate, real-time read on pipeline contribution, event ROI, and campaign performance.
- Orchestrate a small internal marketing pod (a product marketing resource, a marketing coordinator, and a marketing ops/technical resource) plus the extended creative team, assigning work and keeping everyone aligned to deadlines.
- Execute, execute, execute.
This role reports to a senior sales and marketing leader who owns strategy and vision.
Your job is to be the hands‑on operator who makes it real, reliably and on time.
What You Bring
- 5–10 years of progressive marketing experience within the Saa S or software industry, ideally B2B.
- Proven, hands‑on experience planning and running trade shows, events, and brand activations end to end, from concept and budgeting through on‑site execution and post‑event reporting.
- Experience managing event vendors, sponsorships, budgets, and logistics.
- Comfort partnering with (rather than directing) an internal or agency creative and digital team to get campaigns built and launched.
- Solid working knowledge of funnel mechanics and demand generation, beyond brand and awareness marketing.
- Experience owning marketing dashboards and reporting (e. g., Hub Spot, Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, or similar tools) and communicating performance clearly to leadership.
- Ability to translate technical or product information into marketing messaging, and comfort working directly with product teams.
- An execution‑first mindset: you’re energized by getting things done, not by setting direction or pushing back on strategy set above you.
- Strong organizational and project‑management instincts, with the ability to keep a small, cross‑functional team on schedule.
- Willingness to travel for events.
- Nice to Have
- Experience marketing software or technology into relationship‑driven B2B markets.
- Experience with event and webinar platforms (e. g., Zoom Webinars, ON24, Bizzabo, or similar) and marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms as an end‑user marketer.
