Reporting to the Clinical Manager, the Ward Clerk facilitates unit communication and patient flow through accurate administrative coordination. Responsibilities include e-health registration, BORN data entry, chart preparation, reception, payroll entry, scheduling, and supply ordering. The position also provides guidance and direction to patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete e-health registration and BORN data entry
- Coordinate patient flow and scheduled services
- Provide reception and general office functions
- Give assistance and direction to patients and visitors
- Provide updates and reports on unit status
Requirements:
- Required Worker Health and Safety Awareness certificate
- Minimum six months recent relevant experience
- Medical Office Administration diploma from an accredited college
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and protect confidentiality
