Horizon School Division is looking for a dedicated Family School Liaison Counsellor for the Enchant, Lomond, and Hays schools. This 0.80 FTE position offers flexibility in hours and the chance to support students and families.
The successful candidate will provide counselling services to students and families within our schools. Candidates must hold a degree in Social Work or a Master's in Counselling, along with registration with a professional association. Experience in counselling children and adolescents is necessary to effectively fulfill this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one counselling to students and families
- Facilitate group counselling sessions for students
- Conduct classroom presentations on wellness and support
- Collaborate with community professionals and attend meetings
- Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with legal requirements
- Attend crisis intervention situations as needed
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or Master's in Counselling
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Registration with College of Alberta Psychologists or related body
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Clean criminal record and child welfare checks
