Own pension contributions accounting at HOOPP through reconciliation, transaction processing, and exception management in a high-volume operational environment.
Reporting to the Manager, Pension Accounting Operations, this Analyst safeguards contribution financial integrity. The work combines banking-file validation, financial controls, and operational problem-solving. You will support accurate service for employers and members while improving processes through reporting, automation, data analysis, and AI-enabled tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daily banking-file validation, reconciliation, and transaction processing
- Investigate, resolve, and document contribution-related financial exceptions
- Monitor cash receipts, invoices, unmatched transactions, and aging items
- Reconcile contribution transactions with general ledger and subsidiary systems
- Improve processes, controls, documentation, reporting, and automation
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or related discipline
- Two to four years' relevant pension, accounting, payroll, banking, or financial-services experience
- Experience with reconciliations, transaction processing, and exception management
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel and Power BI
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and financial-control skills
