Lead national fleet operations with Home Hardware, using transportation compliance and analytics to improve safe, efficient performance onsite across Canada. This onsite leadership role is based at one of three Canadian distribution centers. The National Fleet Operations Manager leads transportation, fleet, and compliance programs across the organization. The position combines strategic planning with operational execution, focusing on fleet lifecycle management, safety initiatives, vendor partnerships, and asset management. Data, technology, and industry best practices support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute national transportation and fleet strategy across Canada
- Oversee vehicle acquisition, maintenance, replacement, and disposal
- Ensure transportation regulatory and commercial vehicle compliance
- Drive safety programs, driver performance, and risk management
- Improve metrics for utilization, fuel efficiency, and operating costs
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
- 10+ years transportation, fleet, or logistics experience
- 5–10 years in a leadership role
- Knowledge of regulations, safety, compliance, and fleet practices
- Experience with fleet systems, TMS, telematics, GPS, and analytics
