The Yard Foreman oversees yard personnel, activities, materials, and equipment. The position supports store efficiency through customer service, receiving coordination, delivery scheduling, and compliance with safety and fire regulations. It also monitors costs and operating performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise yard personnel and maintain peak productivity
- Assist customers and communicate with delivery personnel
- Develop receiving, unloading, and delivery schedules
- Monitor inventory status and report surplus items
- Supervise yard equipment maintenance and safe operation
Requirements:
- High School graduation or equivalent
- One to two years of retail experience is an asset
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to work safely under applicable legislation
- Ability to report hazards and unsafe behavior
