Lead industrial piping design and plant layout from Calgary with AutoCAD Plant 3D, 2D CAD, and multidisciplinary coordination expertise. HOCS Projects supports energy industry projects through delivery. As Senior/Lead Piping Designer, you will provide design leadership across concept development, detailed design, fabrication, construction, and commissioning. The work includes piping arrangements, equipment layouts, piping documentation, model reviews, and constructability. You will coordinate with engineering disciplines, project teams, vendors, clients, and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead piping design and plant layout activities across project phases
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, isometrics, and material take-offs
- Execute and oversee design using 2D and 3D CAD tools
- Lead model reviews, clash detection, and multidisciplinary squad checks
- Assign, review, and coordinate piping design work
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of piping design experience
- Post-secondary diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Plant 3D or comparable software
- Experience leading multidisciplinary piping design work
- Knowledge of piping codes, standards, and project specifications
- Bring senior piping leadership, plant layout expertise, CAD capability, and constructability judgment to HOCS Projects’ Calgary engineering team.
