MacLean Engineering seeks a Health and Safety Specialist for its manufacturing facility building heavy-duty mobile mining vehicles. You will manage site improvement activities, implement corporate systems, and promote strategies that reduce injuries and illnesses. The position requires leadership influence, analytical thinking, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy corporate health and safety strategies, policies, systems, and standards
- Coach leadership and support health and safety engagement
- Audit programs and lead corrective action plans
- Develop hazard analyses, risk assessments, and high-risk hazard plans
- Review incidents, submit WSIB reports, and support return-to-work processes
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in occupational health and safety or related field
- Five or more years of health and safety experience preferred
- Manufacturing experience considered an asset
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and organized prioritization skills
