Manage accurate payroll processing for Casasanta's manufacturing operations, using payroll systems and Excel. Work independently against deadlines while coordinating with Finance and Human Resources.
This experienced Payroll Clerk position reports to the Controller and supports hourly and salaried employees. You will maintain payroll records, apply Ontario legislation and collective agreement provisions, and resolve employee inquiries. The role requires careful coordination with departmental managers on timekeeping, compensation, benefits, leaves, and departures. You will also contribute to reconciliations, statutory reporting, and efficient payroll administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process regular payroll for hourly and salaried employees
- Apply overtime, vacation, holidays, deductions, and wage entitlements
- Review timekeeping records and coordinate discrepancy corrections
- Maintain employee payroll records with Human Resources
- Prepare reconciliations, remittances, Records of Employment, and T4s
Requirements:
- Three or more years of payroll experience
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Administration, or related studies
- Knowledge of Ontario employment standards and payroll legislation
- Proficiency with payroll systems, preferably ADP, and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills
