As a Farm Underwriter II, you will help manage and grow Heartland's farm insurance business. You will evaluate portfolio risks, set pricing and underwriting conditions, and support profitable business decisions. The role also contributes market insights to product development, pricing, and service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess farm portfolio risks and negotiate broker terms
- Accept, reject, approve, renew, or cancel policies
- Build trusted relationships and tailor broker interactions
- Participate in broker visits and industry marketing events
- Support product development through market insights
Requirements:
- Two to three years of farm underwriting experience
- Strong analysis, synthesis, and decision-making skills
- Ability to solve complex problems and recommend actions
- Strong written and verbal English communication
- CIP designation or active pursuit of certification
