Health PEI seeks a full-time, permanent Patient Care Worker for medical, palliative, and telemetry care. Under a nursing provider's direction, you will deliver patient care activities, document services, and respond to individual needs. The role reports to the Nurse Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene and elimination assistance
- Perform basic care procedures under patient care plans
- Document activities according to policy requirements
- Assist with meals, intake, and output monitoring
- Support admissions, discharges, transfers, and post-mortem care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or recognized equivalent
- Resident Care Worker certification or recognized equivalent
- Good communication and judgment skills
- Capacity for sustained physical activity
- Medical, palliative, or acute care experience preferred
