This Registered Nurse serves Specialty Inpatient / Outpatient Services across the Emergency Department, Inpatient Unit, and ACC. The work includes assessment, critical thinking, medication administration, and patient advocacy. Collaboration involves physicians, allied health, EMS, mental health, and police services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols
- Assess monitored data and diagnostic testing continuously
- Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs
- Develop care plans with patients and families
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care for assigned patients
Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Diploma with extensive experience
- One to three years of nursing experience
- Active or eligible Prince Edward Island nursing registration
- Obtain and maintain specialty education and certifications
- Availability for rotating days, evenings, nights, and weekends
