This critical role requires a skilled healthcare professional to support the Emergency Department at Headwaters Health Care Centre. The Physician Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a registered physician, contributing to clinical assessments and treatment plans. You will work closely with the inter-professional team to ensure efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support supervising physician with clinical assessment and documentation
- Formulate treatment plans tailored to patients' needs
- Utilize evidence-based practices for clinical decision-making
- Promote effective patient flow and discharge coordination
- Mentor clinical placement students and new staff
Requirements:
- CAPA Certificate of Registration in good standing
- Current CPR or BCLS certification
- Minimum 6 months clinical experience in emergency care
- ACLS and PALS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to perform delegated medical acts
