Design highways and municipal roadways at HDR using roadway engineering, CAD software, and transportation design expertise. This is a full-time position. As a Transportation Engineer, you will prepare roadway designs and coordinate multidisciplinary transportation projects. The work includes alignments, drainage, grading, estimates, documentation, specifications, and stakeholder engagement. You will support project managers, schedules, work plans, and proposals. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare road alignments, cross-sections, grading, and drainage designs Develop storm sewer layouts, quantity estimates, and cost estimates Coordinate designs with structural, traffic, pavement, and environmental disciplines Assist project managers with daily project coordination Prepare work plans, schedules, proposals, and fee estimates Requirements:
Minimum seven years of highway or municipal roadway design experience Professional engineering license recognized by the applicable licensing board Roadway engineering design experience across all required aspects Experience with Bentley or Autodesk roadway design software Knowledge of MS Office and excellent organizational communication skills Apply roadway engineering, transportation design, CAD, and coordination skills to highway projects as an HDR Transportation Engineer.
