Description

RPN provides the following services for DIABETES patients ONLY:

• Risk evaluation of patient developing feet complications
• Feet care (evaluation of feet condition, nails maintenance, calluses and corn removal, etc.)
• Diabetes and feet care education, which includes awareness of personal risk factors, importance having feet inspected annually by a health care professional, daily self-inspection of feet, proper nail and skin care, injury prevention, and when to seek help etc.

PERMANENT PART-TIME POSITION 0.4 FTE
Current Schedule: Days shifts, between Monday and Friday

What we are looking for

• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• College level courses in specialized foot care
• Experience in foot Care
• 2 years of experience in patient care
• Current C.P.R. certification
• Good assessment skills
• Demonstrate autonomy in their work
• Possess a working knowledge of both official languages
