Hatch is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer for project delivery across energy, mining, industrial, and infrastructure sectors. You will prepare electrical drawings, develop models, coordinate interfaces, and support projects from early studies through commissioning. Senior candidates may lead design activities, review deliverables, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces, and mentor less-experienced designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review electrical drawings and technical deliverables
- Design industrial installations, substations, and power distribution systems
- Develop 2D and 3D models using MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Coordinate electrical layouts with engineering disciplines
- Provide construction, commissioning, and field design support
Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or relevant technical discipline
- Relevant electrical design experience in consulting or industrial environments
- Understanding of substations, industrial systems, and power distribution
- Knowledge of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canadian electrical codes
- Strong communication, technical judgment, and English proficiency
