This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.
We're building something new inside our AI Studio, and we're looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to help shape it with us.
This role sits at the center of a new and constantly evolving business area.
The problems are still taking shape, and the systems are actively being built.
What excites us is the opportunity to push the boundaries of what stories and characters can be and to use technology to bring iconic IP to life in ways never before imagined.
We work where storytelling, imagination, and technology converge.
Our focus is on defining and building the core systems that transform characters and worlds from something audiences watch into something they can interact with and engage over time.
This role keeps the platform running and makes shipping it safe.
Working alongside senior engineers on the platform team, this Dev Ops Engineer will help build and maintain the pipelines, environments, and production infrastructure behind our character platform: the APIs, admin tooling, and real-time voice experiences that partners build on.
Success here means deploys that are fast, boring, and reversible, and a production environment that stays healthy as more partners go live.
What You'll Do
The platform is already in production, so the first job is helping make what we have more robust: improving how releases reach production, putting alarms in front of every deploy, and making sure database migrations never surprise anyone.
Over time, you'll take on more ownership of the infrastructure as the platform grows into new partners, environments, and interaction modes.
When it's time to roll out, the goal is that nobody has to hold their breath.
- Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines and shared templates, including container image builds, caching, test gates, and promotion from development through staging to production.
- Help implement our deployment strategy for containerized services, including health checks and automatic rollback when alarms fire.
- Maintain and extend our cloud infrastructure as code across multiple AWS accounts, from container services and managed databases to caching, content delivery, and network security.
- Build and tune monitoring and alerts so problems surface before a partner notices them.
- Keep access and secrets tight with least-privilege permissions, short-lived CI credentials, and managed secrets, in support of our responsible AI and data-handling commitments.
- Support environment management and developer tooling that make it easier for engineers to ship changes on their own.
- What You'll Bring
- 3+ years in Dev Ops, SRE, or platform engineering, running production systems on AWS that real users depend on.
- Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience (AWS CDK, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Pulumi, etc.). You treat infrastructure changes with the same care as code changes.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerized services. Git Lab CI is a plus.
- Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (ECS or Kubernetes), and familiarity with AWS networking basics (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, DNS).
- Working knowledge of Python or Type Script for scripting and automation.
- Experience working with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
- Comfort in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built, including helping document runbooks.
- Experience with zero-downtime deployments, including automated rollback.
- Datadog or Open Telemetry instrumentation experience.
- Familiarity with real-time media infrastructure (Web RTC, Live Kit).
- Postgre SQL operations: migrations, backups, and performance tuning, ideally on AWS Aurora.
