PURPOSE:
To provide supervisory oversight for a group(s) of Concrete Reinforcing Technicians (CRT's), in-cluding coordinating work, ensuring that job standards are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- 1. Demonstrate leadership consistent with Nucor Rebar Fabrication's vision and values.
- 2. Supervise CRT's, review their work, assist with any reported difficulties, and identify ways to correct de-ficiencies.
- 3. Responsible for continually reassessing drafting techniques and recommending integrated, cost-effec-tive solutions to improving efficiencies, and participating in the development of recommended actions.
- 4. Track employee's progress on assigned work.
- 5. Assist in the performance review process and recommend appropriate salary adjustments as needed for assigned CRT personnel.
- 6. Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a Senior CRT
- Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Requires thorough knowledge of NRF's drafting system
- General supervisory skills or supervisory training
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Effective verbal and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- 2-year technical diploma from an accredited school or college
- Critical thinking skills and have the ability to creatively motivate CRT's
