Lead technical operations at Harbourfront Centre's lakeside Toronto campus, applying production expertise across lighting, sound, video, and staging. This full-time role is on site.
The Technical Director manages events, performances, indoor venues, and outdoor spaces across Harbourfront Centre. You will plan technical support, oversee production equipment, and collaborate with Event Operations. The position requires theatre, dance, music, and event production knowledge, alongside supervisory experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage technical operations for events and performances
- Safeguard lighting, sound, communications, and rigging equipment
- Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise technical staff
- Design and maintain lighting and sound systems
- Troubleshoot technical issues during productions
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education and five to ten years' production experience
- Five or more years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of theatre, dance, music, and event production
- Working knowledge of video presentation systems and equipment
- Current Ontario driver's license and Working at Heights Certificate
