This position will join our team working in Matachewan, Ontario on a full-time basis. The schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off. This position offers a salary range of $85.00 to $96.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on underground mining equipment and systems to maintain safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections in accordance with OEM recommendations and site maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently to minimize downtime and support production.
- Work closely with various departments, including Mine Operations, Maintenance, and other site personnel, to support safe, efficient, and reliable underground operations.
- Participate in workplace inspections, safety meetings, and other site safety initiatives.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A valid Red Seal/Journeyperson License as a Truck and Coach Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
- Two to three years of experience as an underground mechanic is preferred.
- Basic Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core Program (770010) with modules U0000, U0001, U0002, U00012 and U0024 as a minimum.
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
