This position will join our team working in Timmins, Ontarioon a full-time basis. The schedule willprimarily depend on employee location and travel requirements.
This position offers a salary range of $60.00 - $72.00 perhour.
PrimaryResponsibilities
The Longhole Supervisor will provide frontlinesupervision of production drilling, blasting and cable-bolting activities whileensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with projectrequirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Directand supervise underground longhole crews
- Coordinatedaily drilling, blasting and cable-bolting activities
- Assignpersonnel and equipment according to the production schedule
- Conductshift line-ups, workplace inspections and safety meetings
- Monitorproductivity, quality and compliance with approved work procedures
- Coordinatedrill moves, blast preparation and work-area readiness
- Communicatewith mine operations, engineering, survey, ground control and maintenance
- Identifyand address production delays, equipment issues and operationalconstraints
- Verifyemployee qualifications and ensure workers are assigned appropriate tasks
- Maintainshift reports, production records and relevant documentation
- Promotesafe work practices and reinforce Hancon's safety expectations
- Supportemployee development, training and performance management
- Assistthe Project Foreman with planning, scheduling and project execution
PreferredExperience
- Minimum3+ years of underground mining supervisory experience
- OntarioFirst Line Production Supervisor Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core
- Stronglonghole drilling and blasting background
- Previousexperience supervising underground production crews
- Strongunderstanding of underground mining regulations and safe work practices
- Demonstratedleadership, communication and organizational skills
- Abilityto coordinate personnel, equipment and multiple underground work areas
- ValidFirst Aid certificate
- Validdriver’s license
- Eligibleto work in Canada
