Support attendance policy administration at HWCDSB using absence data analysis, employee meetings, and Microsoft Excel proficiency. This permanent position is based in Hamilton.
The Attendance Support Officer reports to the Senior Manager, Labour & Employee Relations. You will monitor employee absence and vacation data, coordinate attendance support activities, and produce analytical reports. The work involves collaboration with principals, managers, supervisors, Human Resources staff, schools, employees, and union representatives. Experience in attendance support, disability management, labour relations, or a related field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and coordinate the Board's Attendance Support Policy
- Monitor, analyze, and track absenteeism trends through attendance data
- Facilitate attendance meetings with employees and union representatives
- Maintain absence and vacation records for Board employees
- Produce statistical and analytical absenteeism reports
Requirements:
- Post-secondary Human Resources diploma, degree, or equivalent
- Preferred three to four years' related experience
- Minimum CHRP designation or progress toward completion
- Experience in highly unionized settings
- Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
