Support building systems, repairs, and physical security as a Facilities Operations Associate serving Hamilton Family Health Team sites. Work across six hubs and affiliated practices.
Reporting to the Facilities Lead, you will support safe operations and ongoing maintenance across clinical and administrative spaces. The position combines inspections, minor repairs, access control, contractor coordination, and urgent issue response. Strong organization, communication, and independent judgment are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track maintenance requests and coordinate outstanding repairs
- Inspect buildings and complete minor plumbing, painting, and furniture repairs
- Manage access cards, doors, alarms, and security responses
- Coordinate contractors, monitor work, and report incomplete repairs
- Address hazards, ergonomic needs, and urgent building issues
Requirements:
- Three to five years of facilities maintenance or related experience
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience with access control and maintenance ticketing systems
- Ontario Class G licence and access to a vehicle
- Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds occasionally
