Guru Studio seeks a Previz Lead for its award-winning animated series. You will translate storyboards and 2D designs into 3D environments, staging, cameras, and set dressing. The position requires production-scope awareness, strong spatial understanding, and inter-department communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate storyboards and prepare rough 3D modeling blockouts
- Plan cameras, staging, set dressing, and paths of action
- Manage Houdini stagings, groupings, and location splits
- Post work-in-progress and completed work internally
- Propose new set dressing tools and methodologies
Requirements:
- Five-plus years in series or feature animation Previz
- Previous Lead or Supervisor experience
- Experience with Maya, Flow, and Houdini
- Strong leadership and inter-department communication skills
- Portfolio featuring modeling, previz, layout, or combinations
