The Vision Clinic seeks an experienced dual Licensed Optician for its Waterdown location. You will support clients with contact lenses, spectacle lenses, frames, and sunglasses. The work includes pre-screening, optical measurements, administrative tasks, and lab coordination within your scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout optical consultations
- Pre-screen clients and evaluate their vision needs
- Interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists
- Fit contact lenses, frames, spectacle lenses, and sunglasses
- Process records, inventory, insurance payments, and laboratory work orders
Requirements:
- Registered and licensed with the College of Opticians of Ontario
- Dual Licensed Optician experience preferred
- Strong computer knowledge and administrative abilities
- Excellent communication skills and pleasant telephone manner
- Own transportation and Saturday availability required
