Under a Maintenance Supervisor, this permanent position supports Fleet Services within Community Services. The Technician II repairs automotive, mechanical, and construction equipment while coordinating a Helper and maintaining safety knowledge. The work requires independent vehicle repair capability, fleet software use, and clear service reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect automotive, mechanical, and construction equipment
- Repair, test, and maintain departmental equipment
- Oversee and coordinate Helper activities
- Apply the City safety manual and legislation
- Complete related duties as required
Requirements:
- Completed secondary school education
- Valid Automotive Service Technician Certificate of Qualification 310S
- Valid Ontario Truck and Coach Technician Certificate 310T
- Practical automotive vehicle repair experience
- Ability to acquire a Class DZ licence
