The Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority seeks a Relief Janitor reporting to the Nurse in Charge. You will support cleanliness, patient transport, deliveries, and building upkeep. The work requires knowledge of personal protective equipment, WHMIS, and relevant infection prevention procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness throughout the health centre
- Transport patients and staff as required
- Pick up and deliver mail, parcels, and packages
- Collect supplies from local vendors as directed
- Maintain buildings and grounds, including lawn and windows
Requirements:
- Live within 25 kilometres of Fort Resolution
- Know health-centre equipment and its operation
- Understand infection prevention and control procedures
- Know PPE requirements and WHMIS
- Bring training and experience in building maintenance
