This full-time, permanent leadership role oversees QC Microbiology at a clinical manufacturing facility. You will shape microbiology strategies across contamination control, microbial methods, utilities monitoring, and risk-based testing. The position also supports CMOs, CTLs, and collaborators while mentoring the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead QC Microbiology operations and provide strategic technical direction
- Develop contamination control and microbiological method strategies
- Oversee bioburden, endotoxin, identification, and environmental monitoring
- Lead investigations, deviations, OOS results, and excursions
- Ensure accurate GMP-compliant data packages and ALCOA++ integrity
Requirements:
- 12+ years of hands-on QC microbiology experience
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related life sciences
- Experience leading, mentoring, or developing scientists
- Experience overseeing external laboratories, CMOs, or testing partners
- Ability to balance strategy with hands-on technical engagement
