At Go Auto, we are seeking a data-driven, customer-centric Specialist for Lifecycle Automations & Database Marketing to execute our end-to-end customer lifecycle strategies and manage our marketing database health. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize automated marketing workflows across multiple channels (Email, SMS, Push, In-App) to drive customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and loyalty.

You will sit at the intersection of marketing, data, and technology—leveraging database segmentation, user behavior, and marketing automation platforms to deliver the right message to the right user at the right time. Collaborating directly with our Manager, Database Marketing & Automations, as well as the rest of our industry-leading marketing team, you’ll be hands-on, driving results and given all the tools to expand your digital skillset.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Automation & Campaign Execution: Support the end-to-end execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns across Email, SMS, Push, In-App, Direct Mail, and Digital Advertising. Assist in building, testing, and maintaining automated customer journeys and lifecycle programs. Identify opportunities to automate manual campaign tasks, improving day-to-day workflow efficiency.
  • Database Management, Quality & Segmentation: Help maintain and update customer databases, ensuring data accuracy, hygiene, and strict compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., CASL). Build and maintain targeted customer audience segments to support personalized marketing initiatives. Assist with data mapping and routine integrations between CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Project Support & Delivery: Support database marketing and CRM initiatives from initial planning through testing, launch, and post-campaign review. Help gather campaign requirements, track project timelines, coordinate deliverables, and maintain clear team documentation. Coordinate QA testing, approvals, and launch readiness to ensure accuracy across all campaign assets.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including creative, data, technology, operations, and external vendors—to keep marketing projects moving forward. Communicate updates, clarify task ownership, and help identify potential project bottlenecks or risks early.
  • Reporting, Deliverability & Continuous Learning: Monitor, track, and report on key campaign metrics, email deliverability, and database health. Assist in analyzing performance data to uncover insights and suggest optimizations for future campaigns. Stay informed on marketing automation trends, deliverability best practices, and database marketing technologies.

What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Project Management, Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
  • Experience: 1+ years of progressive experience managing cross-functional projects, ideally within database marketing, CRM, marketing automation, digital marketing, or a technology-enabled business environment.
  • Project Management Expertise: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex initiatives with clear scope, schedules, dependencies, budgets or resource constraints, risks, decisions, and executive-ready reporting.
  • Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as Iterable, Klaviyo, Marketo, or Braze; CRM systems; customer data and segmentation; digital campaign workflows; and data quality or compliance considerations.
  • Technical Fluency: Comfortable partnering with technical and analytical teams and working with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, project management platforms, Google Analytics, or Power BI. Familiarity with HTML, JSON, APIs, or SQL is an asset.
  • Judgment & Maturity: Sound judgment, professionalism, and composure when navigating ambiguity, sensitive information, shifting priorities, and difficult trade-offs. You take ownership, follow through on commitments, and know when to resolve an issue independently or elevate it.
  • Communication & Influence: Clear, confident written and verbal communication with the ability to facilitate productive discussions, challenge assumptions respectfully, align diverse stakeholders, and present recommendations to leaders.
  • Organization & Attention to Detail: A disciplined approach to planning, documentation, follow-up, quality control, and prioritization, combined with the flexibility to adapt as business needs evolve.

The Perks:

  • Extra Vacation: 3 weeks, then an additional week after 5 and 10 years with Go Auto.
  • Health Benefits: Health care and dental (80% - 100%), plus a health spending account.
  • Employee Investment Program: It guarantees you at least a 10% return every year.
  • Employee Savings: An employee purchase program for all Go Auto vehicles and between 15-30% savings on car insurance.
  • Growth Opportunities: Upward mobility through Go Auto’s many business operations.
  • In-House Lunch Program: Food made by in-house red seal chefs, delivered to you daily (Edmonton ONLY).
