Gibbons Whistler is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their Finance team. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience, strong accrual knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. This role is focused on providing accurate financial insights while fostering collaboration across operational leaders for ongoing improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements across multiple units
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and year-end papers
- Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Partner with operational leaders on budgets and pricing strategies
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting and controls
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of hands-on accounting experience
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) is an asset
- Exceptional detail orientation and analytical skills
- Experience with Sage 300 or similar financial systems
