High-voltage design expertise meets complex infrastructure projects at GHD, with opportunities in Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton offices across Canada. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support GHD’s Design Delivery Organization within multidisciplinary teams. Your work spans transmission, distribution, substations, power generation, solar, hydrogen, transit, and water or wastewater facilities. Apply protection and control, power distribution, motor control, and commissioning knowledge across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical design teams on complex electrical projects
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, calculations, and equipment layouts
- Design substations, utility interconnections, distribution, protection, and motor controls
- Support tendering, construction, testing, commissioning, and site inspections
- Review designs, manage quality, and professionally seal documents
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer designation
- 10+ years designing high- and medium-voltage electrical systems
- Knowledge of Alberta and British Columbia Electrical Safety Codes
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and judgment skills
