Lead finance transformation as a Financial Controller using accounting judgment, ERP expertise, and process improvement skills in Winnipeg. This full-time role works in-office five days weekly.
You will own day-to-day accounting operations while helping build financial infrastructure for a growing business. The position combines hands-on leadership with financial reporting, internal controls, and systems modernization. You will guide the planned ERP implementation and strengthen processes as operational complexity increases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations, month-end close, and reconciliations
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls
- Guide ERP implementation, workflows, and financial data decisions
- Review and redesign accounting, AP, AR, and reporting processes
- Translate cash flow, margins, and performance into practical insights
Requirements:
- CPA designation with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience overseeing close, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting
- Hands-on leadership in a small to mid-sized environment
- Process improvement mindset supporting accuracy, efficiency, and scale
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, product-based, or inventory-driven environments preferred
