The Supplier Quality Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. He/she is responsible for Supplier Quality Management for all Supply Base in the region (regardless of Project Regions). In this role he/she manages a multi-competencies supplier quality team, integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization, manages complex issues within functional area of expertise, is involved in long-term planning, and contributes to the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement the SQ strategy at regional level, aligned with the global strategy.
- Ensure that SQ team meets their key business priorities in the region, such as reduction of cost of quality and elimination of defects from suppliers as per defined business targets.
- Ensure development of SQ team as per business and individual needs.
- Implement and monitor processes, tools, and metrics at regional level.
- Ensure that new suppliers are onboarded with proper compliance and as per the defined sourcing process, including driving SRG audits related to approval process and maintaining the approval status of suppliers.
- Ensure that new suppliers are technically qualified (GECC qualification) before any purchase order to the supplier.
- Ensure that the complete existing supplier base is technically qualified as per the latest norms, i.e., GECC level qualifications, maintained on a decided frequency.
- Ensure effective and timely RCA and corrective plan implementation of non-conformities related to sourcing.
- Manage third-party inspectors.
- Monitor supplier performance of the region on a decided frequency and implement the supplier development plan accordingly.
Organization Reporting: Report hierarchically to Regional Sourcing Leader and functionally to Global Supplier Quality Leader.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Engineering degree in mechanical or electrical with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar business.
- Experience in the quality domain.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Problem-solving skills / Six Sigma trained and certified or equivalent quality certification.
