This Department Manager role oversees product flow, stock management, and sales reporting within a Garden Supplies department. You will receive inventory, create purchase orders, prepare merchandise, and maintain presentation-ready displays. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage receiving, pricing, product preparation, and merchandising
- Maintain accurate inventory through replenishment, rotation, and organization
- Run POS sales reports and create purchase orders
- Monitor sales trends and inventory movement
- Communicate opportunities and replenishment needs to Purchasing
Requirements:
- At least three years of retail experience
- Experience with garden supplies, hardware, or home improvement preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to analyze sales and inventory data
- Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and seasonal peaks
