Monday to Friday (up to 30 hours per week)
Location: 7 Shinkgwauk Street, Garden River First Nation, ON
Garden River First Nation is looking for Personal Support Workers Part Time and Casual (PSW) to assist seniors, frail, disabled/or cognitively impaired clients with their physical, mental and emotional well-being when they cannot do so themselves or are requiring assistance to do so. They will provide support to clients to remain living in their home in a safe and healthy manner through adherence to Care Plan.
What you can bring to the role:
- Personal Support Worker Certificate from accredited institution
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of First Nation culture, values, and traditions
- Clear CPIC required as a condition of employment
- Able to perform physical tasks and duties, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
- Access to reliable vehicle to travel to client homes (mileage reimbursed)
