Protect gaiia’s cloud infrastructure as a Senior Security Engineer, using AWS expertise and strong security judgment in a 100% remote environment. This hands-on senior role combines security generalist responsibilities with full-stack engineering. You will protect products, infrastructure, customers, and teams across serverless microservices, TypeScript, and infrastructure-as-code. The work spans application security, cloud security, incident response, compliance, and enablement. Key Responsibilities:
Review AWS, Snowflake, GitHub, and critical vendor configurations Improve IAM, least privilege, and production access controls Review logging, detection, monitoring, and deployment pipelines Harden data stores, networks, backups, and encryption controls Report material risks and security progress to leadership Requirements:
At least five years in a related technical role Strong experience securing cloud infrastructure and distributed systems Strong AWS experience and modern web application security knowledge Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, and infrastructure-as-code Understanding of IAM, secrets management, logging, and secure SDLC practices Bring AWS, cloud security, and pragmatic leadership to gaiia’s remote platform security work.
